How To Be Well lived-experience-driven spaces designed to break mental health stigma, promote emotional wellbeing, and build real connection. Through workshops, community gatherings, and creative experiences, we create safe environments where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to prioritise their mental health.
HTBW Self-Empowerment Mini Series

CLAY & CHATS IN THE PARK
THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
Event 1 of the mini-series took place on Sunday, April 13th 2025. The sun was shining bright for a beautiful morning in store. The event commenced with participants having the opportunity to create their own clay pieces centred around self-love. Following the morning mindful clay time, a lived experience panel discussion commenced. The participants had the chance to ask anonymous questions to the panellists regarding anything they would like clarity, or navigation with. The panellists did an incredible job sharing their experiences and providing guidance to others. Overall, participants noted they enjoyed the events, sharing that the panel was the highlight.

WINTER AFFIRMATIONS
THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
Event 2 of the mini-series took place on Saturday, August 26th 2025. The morning consisted of a cozy affirmation activity built around self-love and moving towards a more positive minset and self-talk. A beautiful yin yoga flow was facilitated aimed towards connection with the mind and body. The event focussed on nurturing your mind, body, and activating self-love. An empowering community came together to, breathe, stretch, and embrace the best things about themselves.
HTBW Self-Empowerment Series
Event 1 - MINDFUL ART & MORE
THIS EVENT HAS ENDED

Event 1 took place on Sunday, September 17th 2023, with the weather showing up for a beautiful morning absorbing the sunlight. The event focussed on self-love, connection, and mindfulness. Beginning with a small presentation from Lily (event host), sharing her journey through mental illness and the importance of mindfulness in her recovery. Participants then worked through a prompted painting task, which sparked a deeper connection and appreciation for the self. It was an awesome opening event of the series.
Event 2 - YOGA & JOURNALING
THIS EVENT HAS ENDED

Event 2 took place on Sunday, January 28th 2024—event 2 focussed on mind-body connection, as well as emotional understanding. The session began with a beautiful yoga flow. The flow was dedicated to feeling and responding to our bodies needs. To continue with the connection to self theme the participants worked through prompted journaling tasks. The prompts aimed to enable connection to feelings and acceptance of emotion. Many appreciated the event and noted it was much needed in the hustle lifestyle.

Event 3 - SELF-HEALING
THIS EVENT HAS ENDED

Event 3 took place on Saturday, May 11th 2024 - The focus of the event was on emotional acceptance and healing. The morning began with a unique Greek plate-smashing activitiy. Participants were required to write/draw any negative energy that is limiting themself onto the plate. They were then required to smash the plate, symbolising new beginnings, and exiting negativity. Following on, participants were guided through a meditation and sound bowl healing experience. To wrap up a lived experience panel discussion occurred answering any questions surrounding mental illness lived experience, recovery, and healthy coping mechanisms. A very well received morning.
Event 4 - JOURNALING & SELF-LOVE
THIS EVENT HAS ENDED

The final event of the series was held on Saturday, October 5th. The morning targeted self-love and self-belief. The morning began with journaling prompts. The prompts were specifically designed to explore ideas around values, self-beliefs, and self-love. To cement these new ideas of self, participants had the opportunity to create personalised affirmation cards that aligned with their current position. To conclude the event, a yoga flow and sound bowl healing experience was facilitated. This left participants feeling calm, connected, and empowered.
